I love that the Lighthouse has that family feel to it, it's amazing to think that all the children that have been
here, came due to the word of mouth. I love watching the children grow and develop into their own
amazing little personalities. I don';t currently have any children of my own, but I would love to be a mummy
one day. I currently live with my fiancé, and I have 1 sister and 1 brother. My interests involve reading, I
love sitting down with a good book and getting lost within the pages. I also love photography; I currently

My name is Rodney, I am an all-round musician and praise and worship leader and a talented puppeteer, I
am married and have four children. Since joining the Lighthouse Nursery it’s been the most fascinating
journey for me so far, I came from a very different background of music, performing, and graphic arts. The
Lighthouse Nursery has provided me with a home away from home atmosphere interacting with the staff
and the children, funny enough I thought I will be the teacher, but I’m learning so much from this
experience that it seems like I’m the student.
Having raised up my own four children, I am now getting to understand what it looks like from the
educator’s perspective, which I find very interesting and beneficial. As one would expect, I encourage the
children as well as the staff to enjoy putting every activity we engage in at the nursery through the lens of
music and arts in fun and active ways, every activity finds its own music accompaniment.
I also prioritise a healthy lifestyle of fitness, exercise and nutrition.
